The membership period of the Adelaide Rowing Club runs from the 30th of September each year until the 30th of September in the following year. The Adelaide Rowing Club has 4 membership categories under which members may affiliate themselves with the club:
The membership application form can be obtained here. Active Membership Active members who are fully-financial are entitled to full use of the Club's boats, ergos and gym equipment*. Active members may also be permitted to obtain a clubhouse key to enable access to the equipment at their leisure, subject to approval. This membership category is also eligible to compete for the club in RowingSA regattas and to vote at club meetings in accordance with the ARC Constitution. Please note that this amount does NOT include any RowingSA registration or race fees. *All boat and equipment use is at the sole discretion of the Captain, with all equipment allocated on a skill and needs basis. Semi-Active Membership Semi-active members are entitled to use the Club's gym, ergo and weight training facilities*. Semi-active members may also obtain a key to the Torrens boatshed to permit access to these facilities. Semi-active members are not permitted to use the Club's boats or on-water training equipment. This membership category is entitled to vote at meetings in accordance with the ARC Constitution. *All equipment use is at the sole discretion of the Captain. Non-Active Membership Non-Active membership provides the right to vote at club meetings, but does not permit the member to use any club equipment. However, non-active members do recieve other benefits of membership such as invitation to social events, club newsletters and Member's prices at the Bar. Social Membership Social members are not entitled to use any club equipment, nor to vote at meetings. However, social members do recieve other benefits of membership such as invitation to social events, club newsletters and Member's prices at the Bar. Joining Fee A once-off joining fee of $100 (inc. GST) must accompany all new applications for membership to the club, irrespective of which category of membership is being applied for. The joining fee also applies to past members who have resigned or lapsed their membership and wish to resume their membership at the club. New members who are still at school or are under 18 years of age are exempt from the joining fee.
